Did You Know ... Harriet Tubman Day is 3/10
#HarrietTubmanDay #BlackExcellence #Solidarity
Harriet Tubman known as "Moses" of her time successfully freed hundreds of slaves before her death on March 10, 1913. Mother Tubman was an enslaved woman who became the conductor of the "underground railroad". She traveled 90 miles on foot through all the elements to freedom. There was no road map, instructions, no food or any of the creature comforts we take for granted everyday. Harriet didn't stop once she was free in fact she came back several times to free other enslaved folks who dared to take the journey to freedom with her. Harriet Tubman is a real life Shero. In celebration of Harriet Tubman Day we are asking all black folk around the world change your cover or profile picture to Harriet Tubman in honor of her day. This is the least we can do for our beautiful, courageous now ancestor. We pray she is watching and smiling at us on the other side. Job well done Miss Tubman, job well done.
